OurCounty focuses on people. It outlines what local governments and partners can do to enhance the well-being of every community in the County while reducing damage to the natural environment and adapting to the changing climate, particularly focusing on those communities that have been disproportionately burdened by environmental pollution.
The original OurCounty plan was adopted by the Board of Supervisors in 2019. This update elevates the County’s ambitious agenda, builds off of the work taking place region wide, and incorporates new and revised actions to address issues of growing concern.
The 2025 OurCounty plan would not have been possible without the hard work and support of a large number of people from the County of Los Angeles and throughout the community. The LA County Chief Sustainability Office led the development, working with Buro Happold, and in close coordination with County departments. Additional support was provided by Climate Resolve, Estolano Advisors, Inner and Outer Engagement, MIG, and tamika l. butler consulting.
The County is especially grateful to the team of CBO thought partners and pop-up partners: ACT-LA, Antelope Valley Partners for Health, Conservation Corps of Long Beach, Day One, Heal the Bay, LACI, LA County Youth Climate Commission, Move LA, Pacoima Beautiful, Union De Vecinos, and USGBC-CA.
